Julie Gallego is he founder of VIVA Performing Arts Center and has over 30 years of experience in Mexican Folklorico dance. Her qualified staff of folklorico instructors provide authentic Mexican folk dance lessons, from various regions of Mexico for all ages and levels of experience.

Hip Hop
VIVA Performing Arts Center offers Hip Hop dance lessons by some of Tucson’s leading Hip Hop choreographers. Our Hip Hop classes focus on building upper body strength and proper weight control. With the integration of R&B, street jazz and different styles of Hip Hop. The classes are fun, positive and an energetic experience.

Ballet (Ballet, Jazz & Tap Combos)
Since all dance technique comes from ballet’s classical training and exercise, we consider it a fundamental building block of your child’s dance education. As it strengthens and tones young bodies, it builds lifetime discipline, develops greater concentration and challenges creativity while imparting a confidence and poise that will be a part of their personalities as they grow and mature.

Zumba Fitness
ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.
